How I got started
I started shooting weddings and portraits in Pemberton, BC, in 2013 after getting my Bachelor’s degree in photography at Alberta University of Art & Design. I had a whirlwind few years traveling the globe photographing weddings, including France, Australia, Mexico and the Bahamas. In 2017, I wanted deeper roots and moved to Vancouver to add “high school photography teacher” to my resume. I’ve been balancing photography and education ever since — and honestly, I wouldn’t want it any other way. Teaching has made me a better photographer, and photography keeps me connected to creativity in a way nothing else does.
I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds and styles - and my goal is always the same: to make you feel at ease, give a little direction when needed, and create something that feels like you.
Why work with me?
Teaching has made me a better photographer. It’s taught me how to lead with confidence, read a room quickly, and create a safe, supportive environment where people feel comfortable being themselves. Whether it’s students or clients, I know how to direct without being pushy, and how to bring out the best in people without forcing anything.
In photography, I care about capturing authentic moments. I want you to look back at your images and see something real — not just posed or polished, but thoughtful, confident, and unmistakably you. I include the silly grins, special details and quiet moments in my image galleries, so you can see not only your best self, but your authentic self too!

I’m big on being organized and efficient — no chaos, no confusion. But if the moment calls for slowing down, I know when to scrap the timeline and go with it.
-
I’ll guide you when you need it and back off when you don’t. You can bring ideas, Pinterest boards, outfit changes — I’m down to collaborate and make it yours.
-
You won’t catch me guessing how you’re feeling or forcing a moment that doesn’t feel right. I ask questions, stay present, and adapt to the energy in the room.
-
Yes, I have high standards. No, I won’t micromanage you or act like this is Vogue. You’ll get structure, support, and space to just be yourself (plus probably a few laughs).
Who is my ideal client?
Weddings are where I get to tell full, energetic stories: the chaos, the laughter, the in-between moments no one noticed but everyone remembers later. I gravitate toward events with good people, good energy, and space to breathe — farm weddings, community halls, funky local venues, and anything grounded in love over performance.
In the studio, things slow down. I offer portrait sessions for artists, educators, creatives, and anyone who wants to feel seen — whether you’re celebrating a milestone, trying something new, or just carving out space for yourself. I don’t provide a client closet or push big sales sessions. You bring yourself, your style, and your ideas — and I’ll guide you the rest of the way.
